Blogtober #6 – Rainy day crochet.

Oh my, what a miserable day it is! It hasn’t stopped raining for a couple of days now. Can you see the ship in the photo? Well, I wouldn’t be surprised if that was a no, I nearly didn’t see it either. It’s a great day for knitting in front of the TV. I did a little of that but also spent some time in my studio.

My studio is a work in progress and keeps changing as I decide on what should go where and in what. The other day, while sorting through a few boxes, I found some skeins of recycled sari silks that I’d been keeping to do something with. I had wanted to crochet them into placemats or other such things and thought I would make a start with the shiniest of the lot. This ball wasn’t very large so I decided to crochet it into a circle using the basic pattern that was the beginning of a hat. I only had to add a few rounds to get to the end of the yarn ball. I’m not sure it will stay where it is now, under this plant, but it is there for the moment!

Today’s blog is a quickie because I need to go and get dressed up for a dinner party tonight. Not the best weather for venturing outside but the friends are definitely worth it!

Thanks for joining me today and I hope to see you again tomorrow. 😊
